The Constant Now is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 2021 by curator and art historian Magali Elali to support and promote visual artists of color in Belgium. We are dedicated to inclusivity and addressing the underrepresentation of POC artists by creating visibility through exhibitions, talks, and mentoring. Our goal is to cultivate sustained career development while shifting perspectives within institutions.

Operating nomadically, we partner with institutions across Belgium and collaborate internationally to reshape the artistic landscape and create a more inclusive environment.

The Constant Now supports artists of color through group exhibitions and a growing network. Our POC POC Mentoring Program connects young artists with experienced professionals for personalized guidance. The POC POC MANIFESTO is an evolving guide to navigating the art scene, featuring live panel discussions and public engagement to highlight the importance of inclusivity in the arts.

We collaborate with leading institutions like Antwerp Art Weekend, De Brakke Grond (Amsterdam), FOMU, Kunsthal Extra City, Kunsthal Gent, M HKA, NW Aalst, S.M.A.K., and WECANDANCE to drive lasting change in the art world.
Our core values are: Embrace Diversity, Empower Artists, Encourage Collaboration, Stimulate Innovation, and Engage Communities. These values guide our mission to create a more inclusive artistic landscape.

Artists are central to The Constant Now. They serve as mentors and co-authors of the POC POC MANIFESTO, driving the collaborative and artist-led nature of our work.
For the audience:
Join our community and attend our events across Flanders and beyond—most of which are free—because we prioritize accessibility.

For artists:
Become part of our network. Participate in exhibitions and discover opportunities like our two-year POC POC mentoring program for emerging artists under 35.
