WAYWARD SANCTUARIES is een groepstentoonstelling waarin kunstenaars op zoek gaan naar nieuwe manieren om een thuis te creëren. In een wereld vol verandering en onzekerheid bouwen ze via kunst, rituelen en spiritualiteit hun eigen plekken van verbinding, verzet en hoop. De tentoonstelling nodigt uit tot reflectie over gemeenschap, herinnering en de verbeeldingskracht om samen nieuwe werelden te creëren.

De expo is een co-productie met Kunsthal Mechelen en de Brakke Grond en wordt gecureerd door Leana Boven. Ze vormt de culminatie van POC POC3, het mentoringprogramma van The Constant Now, met kunstenaars Elise El Yousfi, Collyns Charts, Jonabel Huavas, Aya Koné, Eveline Bumba, Joseph Thabang Palframan, Luz E.L. Bran, Hsiao Hsi Chen, Charbel Alkhoury, Jiyoung Chu, Aïcha Ouattara, Emily Walter, Thuy Lê Thi Thu, Kenny Mala Ngombe en Kadia Doumbouya.

WAYWARD SANCTUARIES is a group show in which artists explore new ways of creating a sense of home. In a world shaped by change and uncertainty, they build their own spaces of connection, resistance, and hope through art, ritual, and spirituality. The exhibition invites reflection on community, memory, and the imagination required to collectively envision new worlds.

The exhibition is a co-production with Kunsthal Mechelen and de Brakke Grondand is curated by Leana Boven.
